Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

I already have a building permit for my project, what should I do prior to begin of excavation work?

You have to contact DigSafe at 811. They will spray all the utilities line inside your property, to make sure that the excavator's operator know where these lines are, during the excavation work.

Do I have to hire a licensed Concrete contractor to build my new foundation?

Before you hire a contractor
• Interview more than one contractor. It is best practice to interview at least three contractors and request a written detailed estimate from each.
• Check the status of the contractor’s license and registration. You must check that the contractor or subcontractor you hire is currently registered as a Home Improvement Contractor whenever the type of work being done requires it or else you will not be protected by all aspects of the Home Improvement Contractor Law. It is advised to hire a contractor who possesses both a Construction Supervisor License and a Home Improvement Contractor Registration.

I have a set of plans in .pdf file, may I email it?

Absolutely. With today's technology there's no need to wait for a paper set of plans, in order to have your estimate done. You can email your foundation plan to advanceconcrete@live.com, and we will get back to you when we have a chance.
